Welcome!! My name is Shane McCormick and I am currently a Master's student at California State University, San Bernardino in the Instructional Design and Technology program. I have a B.S. in Kinesiology focused on Pedagogy and am currently a Business Analyst for Indiana University in the University Enrollment Services. I plan to keep my options open with this degree and seek the many different possibilities it can bring to my career.
Educational Philosophy
My philosophy is to cultivate lifelong learners who find joy in the process of learning. I believe that every learner is unique, with different learning styles and educational experiences. As an instructional designer, this challenges me to seek the best possible approaches to enhance each learner’s growth and overall experience. My goal is to provide learners with the most positive and effective learning environment I can. Having personally experienced teachers whose methods didn’t align with my own learning style, I understand how important it is to adapt teaching strategies so that all learners can thrive.
